Harvest 2023 Update

With only a week away from our first pick of the 2023 Harvest there is a lot to think about. With a healthy harvest in sight, we are currently making space for the fruit we will be bringing in. The first load of fruit we will be harvesting is Sangiovese from our Acquarello vineyard for our Isabella sparkling wine. This Sangiovese will be carefully hand-harvested at the first light of dawn to capture the fruit while the air is still crisp and fresh, and the grape clusters are cool.

The Sangiovese will then be pressed gently so as to not extract color or tannin from the skin.

Following the Sangiovese, the next pick will likely be our Domenico Estate Sauvignon Blanc. This wonderful fruit will be picked with just enough acidity to brighten up the palate while maintaining its fruit-forward character. Overall we are looking forward to another fantastic vintage at Le Vigne Winery!
